Presentation to Hermine Adler, in 1953. Apparently signed by Dione Lucas, the first woman to graduate from Le Cordon Bleu in Paris. She and Hume opened the little Cordon Bleu, and a restaurant, in London. Lucas fled to America after the outbreak of WWII. She had her first tv cooking show in the late 40s, becoming the first woman in the U.S. or the U.K. to lead a cooking show. Signed copies of thsi book are rarely encountered.
