About this Item: Self Published, Edmonton, 1985. Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. B/W Photographs (illustrator). First Edition. SUBTITLED : ` The Memoirs of F. Lynch-Staunton '. The author's father (and uncle) came to Alberta in 1885 and began a ranching business, Antelope Butte Ranch, near Pincher Creek. Frank went on to raise a large family and worked in government at the community. the municipal , and the provincial levels. In 1979 Lynch-Staunton was made Lieutenant-Governor of Alberta replacing Ralph Steinhauer. 50 pages assisted by b/w (family) photographs . Read more about : Lundbreck, Cowley, Crossfield, Muriel B. Shaw, Lady Helpers, Starlight Ranch, Morley, Ted Link, and C.O.T.C. Rifle Team. Cond : Boards are green with gilt lettering on both face and spine. End-papers are white. D.J. is white with black lettering. D.J. (b/w photo)graphic is of Lynch Staunton taken on the ranch about 1970 as Frank opened a gate for his waiting palomino horse. Both volume and jacket are bright, tight and clean in all aspects - w/o flaws. No names, marks, nor tears. Not faded. Quote (p. 19) : " ._._. white walls and red roofs. It was about this time that I bought our first tractor and so a start was made towards complete mechanization. This made life much easier, because both haying and farming were much faster .
