Quarto, 40, [5, list of plates plus colophon] pages with 5 original lithographs (one in colour over two pages) plus a frontispiece, 34 full-page plates (numbered 9-42) and the illustration on the front cover (all in colour). Flush-cut plain boards with the attached colour pictorial wrapper folded around all edges of the covers; leading edge very lightly marked; a fine copy with the original clear acetate dustwrapper (with a tiny tear near one corner) in the slipcase (a little marked and scuffed). This is number 1733 of 2000 copies. One hundred copies of the colour lithograph were also printed separately and signed by the artist; they were apparently issued with the first hundred numbered copies. The colophon states that the printing was completed on 7 August 1958; the artist died on 11 October that year, aged 82.
