Some browning and use but good copy in slightly chipped and frayed dust-wrapper. "In this book the author has expounded all the principles of the tying of trout, sea-trout and salmon flies in a manner which has never been surpassed; and these principles are enforced by numerous diagrams each of which shows all essentials yet nothing that is superfluous. The result is that the beginner can learn as easily as if he were watching an expert at work, while the experienced fly dresser cannot fail to profit by the experience of forty years which has enabled the author to compile a book which is as complete as it is concise." Originally published in serial form in Game And Gun, under the pen-name, "Argus." This 1945 edition was produced to the authorised economy standards and so is rarely found in very good condition.
