About this Item: RBSA, Jaipur, 2006. Hardbound. Condition: As New. New. Contents Preface. 1. Nutritional importance of milk. 2. Milk production dairy industry. 3. Market milk. 4. Manufacture of dairy products. 5. Evaluation of quality milk. 6. Spoilage and contamination of milk and milk products. 7. Milk consumption pattern by consumers. This book Milk and Milk Products is an effort to develop the preference and liking for milk consumption. Milk sold in market by vendors and by Ujjain Dugdh Sangh was intended to document as several efforts of the Ujjain Dugdh Sangh to market quality milk did not give favourable results. The reason behind this preference was the major effort behind this work. A survey of families of college students revealed an alarming message that very few children and elders prefer milk. However they prefer milk products but the frequency is very less as the price of milk products is beyond their reach. The choice for quality milk was desired to assess. The quantity of milk consumption by each age group was desired to assess to help milk production distributed by Ujjain Dugdh Sangh. Thus nutritional importance of milk was explained to the College Students as described in Chapter I. Milk Production in Ujjain Dugdh Sangh and dairy industry is tried to elaborate in second Chapter. However the procurement processing and distribution of milk and manufacture of milk products is a major concern of Chapter No. III and IV. A criteria of quality milk and the evaluation procedure of quality is consolidated in Chapter No. V. To evaluate the quality of Milk and Milk Products a knowledge about the spoilage and contaminant of milk and milk products is thought useful and therefore the information regarding spoilage and contamination of milk and milk products is consolidated in Chapter No. VI. A preference for consumption of milk and milk products along with the concepts regarding the choice for quantity quality and type of milk and milk products is surveyed and consolidated in Chapter No. VII. A conclusion and summary of the observation and survey states that the marketing strategy of milk and milk products needs to increase the consumption of quality milk in required quantity by Ujjain Dugdh Sangh. 154 pp. Seller Inventory # 66018
