Condition: Very Good. This colorful map of the United States offers a wealth of information for both the backyard gardener and industrial farmer alike. Shades of blue and red highlight the approximate dates of the last spring frost across America. Weather stations, agricultural colleges, and state capitals are noted according to the legend in the lower right. Several insets along the bottom of the sheet present further climatological data, including precipitation and the date of first snowfall. Numerous tables on the verso offer planting and care details for common flowers and vegetables. The map was compiled in 1916 by William Gardner Reed, Charles Franklin Brooks, and F.J. Marschner using data compiled from the USDA Atlas of American Agriculture. Published in New York by William H. Wise & Company. Sheet Width (in) 24.75 Sheet Height (in) 23.75 Condition Description "Double-sided map creased along originally issued folds. A 3" irregular tear in the upper right repaired on the verso with archival tape. Otherwise, just light wrinkling and wear consistent with age and use. Good condition overall.".
