Publisher's burgundy quarter cloth, with gilt titles to spine and stripy red and white paper-covered boards. Black endpapers; top edge red. With the plain dust-jacket titled in red, and priced at 30s. Small typographic bookplate of Ronald and Joan McNicoll to front pastedown. Gilt dulled to spine. Jacket a little toned to spine, with a few small chips and closed tears to edges. Near fine.

First edition hard back binding in publisher's original wavy, stripy pink and grey paper covered boards, gilt title and author lettering to the burgundy buckram spine, charcoal black end papers. 4to 11½'' x 9''. Contains ten page introduction followed by forty-six captioned full-page monochrome plates, only eleven of which have previously appeared in book form and a further eleven of which are hitherto unprinted in any format. Fine condition book in near Fine condition dust wrapper with just minor rubs to the tips and corners, not price clipped 30s, spine not faded, super condition copy. Dust wrapper supplied in archive acetate film protection, it does not adhere to the book or to the dust wrapper. Member of the P.B.F.A. HUMOUR (Satire, Cartoon).
