First printing. The author's first book, the story of three ex-GI's upon their return to civilian life in San Francisco. One is still uncertain about the young Japanese-American women he met in Honolulu during the war, another is haunted by a terrible secret. A good picture of the early days of San Francisco's Bohemia. INSCRIBED by the author: "Good luck, Ed, and I believe you've got the guts (we ain't saying anything about good sense) but the guts to get what you want." Very good+ (previous owner's name) in a rather fragile and edgeworn dustjacket (a little loss of paper at top of spine and fading to the spine but with an attractive dustjacket illustration by Albert J. Camille.).
