First Edition Hardcover with DJ, 444 pp. Important book in the Koontz oeuvre. Involves a serial killer and is a mix of mystery, psychological suspense, romance, and horror, and one of his most sought-after titles. The unclipped DJ is complete but shows some evidence of handling: a bit of scruffing, trace marks, a 1/8" tear at bottom of spine, mild edgewear, and one 4" long scratch on the back cover (which leaves just a faint trace on the underlying hardcover). The black cloth-covered boards show a few slight dents & wear along edges. There is a light "D" on the bottom of the text block (a remainder mark??). Overall, a very solid copy of an apparently scarce title.
