Introduction in Swedish and TOC. 32 double pages of color maps and charts, some span both pages while other pages consist of several smaller maps. Includes demographic, meteorological, forest coverage, geology, population maps and even a map of light houses. Map legends in Swedish and Finnish. Name on front free endpaper. Binding is a bit scuffed, internally nice condition overall. Many of these maps were presented at the Sixth International Geographical Congress in summer 1895. A text volume was also published but this is not present here. This is the first edition, a second edition was done in 1910. Considered the world's first national atlas (despite Finland being a part of the Russian Empire at the time!). Uncommon.
