Brown marking to a few pages, text is not affected. Water staining to first few pages. Pencil marking to pages throughout. Small booksellers sticker to rear pastedown. Boards have heavy edge wear with bumping to corners and rub wear all over. Leather peeling to all surfaces, with noticeable scuffing and scratches overall. Notable splits to joints causing spine strip to be loose. Mild tanning to spine and edges. Some faint marking to boards.

Cover designed with ornate designs of dailies, borders; banner "Science, Fiction: Religion"; image of Roman wearing crown of olive leaves. Paper front cover has 3 inch tear near lower spine; bottom cover page has 1x1/2 inch section missing. Spine paper also fragile with portion of title missing and binding partically exposed. Back cover is excised and missing. Small tears on few of bottom edge of last 3 rear pages. Front inside cover page and frontis have several ads for extracts, meidcations, etc. Title page intact but has stains as well as first few pages of narrative. Pages very readable, but browned and brittle. Signed by Author(s).
