Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. Cover photo by Richard Avedon (illustrator). 1st Edition. Not a book but a 12-inch, 33-1/3 rpm vinyl record album, Arista AB 4155, near-mint vinyl in a very-good-plus jacket which starts to show a bit of ringwear to top and bottom edges. If cover photo shows unusual detail and careful exposure, it could be because photographer Richard Avedon was working in the studio, and this is a full-frame blowup of his 2-1/4-inch original, probably from a shutter-synched Hasselblad. Most tunes here, including "Shade of Grey," "This Time Forever," and "Heaven Help The Fool," are by Weir and John Perry Barlow. Legendary session guitarist Waddy Wachtel joins Weir here, in Weir's second "solo" (meaning "separate from The Grateful Dead") album, as do Toto members David Paich (keyboards) and Mike Porcaro (bass.) Produced by Keith Olsen.
