First Edition From RFD 1, Union, Maine 04862. An irregular but completely dedicated press often dedicating each issue to one subject. In this case, Clarence Schmidt who needs no introduction to the old-timers in Woodstock, New York. Schmidt was a stonemason who spent 40 years building a 10 - 1/2 story house up the side of a mountain which included a Pop Art garden that he began 10 years before Andy Warhol was born. The editor at the Treadmill contacted Schmidt who was by then in a nursing home at upstate new York and he sat with him and had an astonishing interview with the builder and inventor and folk spirit. Nicely formatted throughout. Tall stapled wraps with vintage photos from Schmidt's work site and him in the nursing home. Very good tall stapled wraps with trifle age toning. Blank address label to back cover since all of the Treadmills were sent through the mail with a 6 cents postage.
