It contains 107 detailed genealogical sketches of families, based on research contributed by various genealogists and historians. The minimum research for each family traces the lineage through the children of all male children who were born in Vermont, providing valuable information on early migration patterns from Southern New England to New York, Ohio, Michigan, and beyond. The volume specifically focuses on the remainder of Windsor County, organized by town and presented alphabetically by the head of the household. Towns covered in this volume include Hartford, Hartland (formerly Hertford), Norwich, Pomfret, Sharon, and Woodstock.
