    Inscribed & signed by Vaughn Shoemaker and as an added bonus, the artist doodled a little caricature of himself under his signature. Shoemaker occasionally used himself to depict a much set-upon John Q. Public in his cartoons and was often critical of government spending during the period of the New Deal. Small quarto volume bound in black cloth & dark green illustrated board. Illustrated with B&W drawings. Commentators include Carroll Binder, William H. Fort, Sterling North, and many others.
