Internally, 1/2 to 1 inch deep light tan stain along edges of endpapers, prev owner's sgn cut off of title page (two 1/2 x 1 inch cuts; text unaffected) , paper lightly age yellowed, with an occasional spot of foxing, mainly on or adjacent to plates, plates have approx 1/8th inch tanning along edges, 6 or 7 dogears, apparently from bumping, o/w tight, clean and unmarked; possibly never read. Nice early edition; 2 of the 3 plates are dated. Literature; picaresque novel.
