First Edition. this is an illustrated guide to the ancient Kingdom which includes Wiltshire, Hampshire and The Isle of Wight, Dorset, Somerset and Berkshire. Forward by the Earl of Pemboke. The book is a large format matt paperback with an evocative black and white drawing of Stonehenge on the front cover. There are several beatifully exicuted black and white drawings throughout the book which has 64 packed pages of information about the towns and villages of this area and the places of historical interest. Unfortunately the free loose map (worth 10p -written on the front cover ) is missing. The book is lightly soiled as to be expected of matt paper and has slight edge wear to the top, and base of spine, but is in good condition. Size: 12in x 8in.
