With many vignette illustrations throughout, and red-and-black illustrations to the rear. Vincent Steer was a compositor noted for founding the British Typographers' Guild and for his book on typography (Printing Design and Layout), which was known as the "Typographer's Bible". In a black pebbled cloth binding. Externally, smart, with just some very light bumping to the corners. Front hinge tender. Internally, generally firmly bound although a few of the pages are detached. Previous owner's ink stamp to front free-endpaper. Pages are bright, and quite clean, though with some occasional spotting. Good. book.
