This popular leading lady of the stage, film and television starred on Broadway for several years with husband Howard Lindsay (1889-1968) in "Life with Father," who wrote the play with Russel Crouse based on Clarence Day's book. Handsome inscription and signature in black fineline, dated by her 1974 February 21, on a heavy stock 5" X 3" card, n.p. Fine. With original envelope. Accompanied by a small 4to "Playbill" program for the October 21, 1940 performance of "Life with Father" at The Empire Theatre in New York. 36pp, illustrations, numerous advertisements. Stiff tan wrapper features artist's rendering of Stickney and Lindsay and four children in their roles seated in a horse-drawn carriage. Very good.
