Original green cloth, stamped gilt lettering, approximately 5x7 inches, 257 pp + publisher's ads, illustrated with frontispiece and black and white drawings. Hardcover, fair to good. Minimally marked ex-library (only a bookplate on paste down front end paper, no numbers on spine, etc. ). Some soil and drop marks on cloth, cocked, corners bumped with cardboard exposed there, 1/8th inch fraying at head and foot of spine, rubbed along edges, 1 inch tear on rear joint. Internally, previous owner's inscriptions (in pencil) , shaken, first free front endpaper and tissue guard creased, foxing on and adjacent to frontispiece, otherwise clean and unmarked.
