Argues that the austerity measures being applied to New York and other cities were part of an attack by the rich against the working class and especially minorities.

Three 8.5x11 inch handbills, all somewhat toned and worn. Includes "Communist candidates: will they hurt McGovern?" and two versions of a leaflet titled "Communist candidates: what's the point?" Two of the leaflets have text on the back asking voters to sign petitions to get the candidates ballot access in California.

Pamphlet. Four-panel brochure on newsprint, 8.5x11 inches, evenly toned, otherwise very good. Hall and Tyner were running as the Communist Party's presidential ticket. They witnessed the aftermath of a US bombing run, which struck civilian areas and killed children, during their visit to North Vietnam.

Cardstock. Condition: Fine. First Printing. 3 1/2" x 6" bumper sticker, black lettering on red field ( although for some reason my scanner is registering this as pink instead of red), and 3 1/2" x 7 1/2" contribution card. Both are Fine, both are SCARCE. Paper.

Original double-sided flyer, with text and photograph offset printed in dark brown on cream stock, measuring 21.75cm x 35.75cm (8.5" x 14"). Horizontal fold at center smoothed out, with two small pencil notations at upper corners; Near Fine. Double-sided flyer announcing Gus Hall and Jarvis Tyner's entrance into the 1976 Presidential race, including their lengthy statement on various positions, accompanied by brief biographical sketches of each man ("Meet Gus Hall," "Meet Jarvis Tyner"), and a large photograph of Hall and Tyner, accompanied by Henry Winston and Angela Davis. 87338.

Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Original nomination petition. Partially printed document. Single sheet, folded horizontally into four sections. Lightly creased where folded, bit of age-toning, else a very good example. The first leaf lists Gus Hall, "Steelworker" as candidate for President of the United States, and lists the African-American Jarvis Tyner, "Teamster," as candidate for Vice-President. It also lists those nominated as presidential electors. The verso of the first page has 20 lines completed in ink holograph listing Philadelphia-resident signers of the petition.

Pamphlet decrying the Vietnam War and the imperialist and racist culture of the United States which enabled it. The text of a speech delivered by Jarvis Tyner to the W.E.B. Du Bois Clubs of America during the opening night of its 3rd National Convention. Tyner (July 11, 1941), was an American activist and former member of the Communist Pary. He was also former chair of W.E.B Du Bois Clubs of America. $500.

Cover photo of women carrying children, inner photo across fold of children's bodies in a row. The biggest ever bombing campaign by US B-52 aircraft took place over Christmas, 1972, when the US dropped at least 20,000 tonnes of explosives on North Vietnam, mostly Hanoi.
