Decorative Boards. Condition: Good. Fisher, Harrison; Crawford, E. Stetson (illustrator). First Edition. This edition is dated 1909. I believe this edition was first published in the UK in 1908. Illustrations by Harrison Fisher and decorations by E. Stetson Crawford. The decorative boards have a little staining to the front panel and some discolouration to the rear panel. Two and a half inch closed tear at the top of the spine next to the front panel and the spine is faded with some edge rubbing and fraying at the top and bottom. Rubbing to edges and corners. The page edges are browned and worn with the original owner's name written along it and the page edges are a little uneven. Browning and spotting to the endpapers with a one inch tear to the surface over the hinge at the top on the front endpapers with a gap here and the webbing exposed. Previous owner's name and date in ink to the reverse of the front free endpaper. The pages are otherwise clean and unmarked. One coloured plate near the front is loose and another further through the book is loosening a little but all other illustrations have been collated and are present and in place. A family book From the collection of Marjorie Powell, a botanist and yachtswoman who lived in Great Shelford, Cambridge.
