A warm inscription on front free end-paper " Keep the heart with all diligence, for out of it are the issues of life"(see photo), dated 1830. Scattered moderate foxing throughout, with wavy pages. Extremities of book boards are gently shelf-worn, with spine crown and tail being frayed and lacking approx. 1/8" each of leather. Overall, a tight copy, with only a very tiny ink number written on the dedication page. Hard to find title. Protected in a mylar slip.
