Ex-college library copy. Reprint edition. 154 pages. Hardcover: H 23.5cm x L 15.75cm. Lacks dust jacket. Dark purple boards, moderate sunning to spine with patch of surface tearing and abrasion from where library shelf sticker was removed, patch of sticker residue remains on spine and upon adjacent area of boards. Front free endpaper removed; library stamp on front pastedown obscured under swath of black marker; second library stamp on rear pastedown; past owner's signature at top of title page. No other library marks readily apparent after a quick perusal and interior pages are clean. Reprint of the 1964 first edition published by Purdue University Studies featuring eleven essays, all but two of which were read at the first conference of the American Committee for Irish Studies held at Purdue University in 1963.
