Vols 1-10: 3,027pp, Vol 11 (Appendix) 336pp. Several pages of advertisements for Bohn's libraries precede and follow the text in each volume, and in a few vols there is foxing to these, and to the title page. A wonderful repository of information, much of it pertaining to books now rare. Partially unopened. 19x12cms, in the publishers' printed orange cloth, spines pale. All intact, a very good set. Bookplate remnants on all pastedowns, with the last owner's name plates being British banker Sir Jonathan Backhouse (one of the founders of Barclay's) dated April 1902. 3027 p. of entries alphabetical by topic, with an addional 336 p. in an appedix "volume" at the end of v. 4 having a list of publication by clubs and societies and an index at the end, all assembled by Bohn. The Appendix covers privately printed books and books issued by learned societies, including the Roxburghe Club, Bannatyne Club and Camden Society, with very useful information not easily found elsewhere. Vols. I-III, V, VI (1890), IV (1883). Bound in at the rear of Vols. I, II, III, V and VI is a 47-page "A Classified Catalogue of Selected Works including an Alphabetical List of Bohn's Libraries" dated January 1898 bound in at rear. Vol. IV contains "Catalogue of Bohn's Libraries" dated 1890 bound in at rear. Despite the various dates, the bindings are identical. "Bohn's Libraries" gilt stamped at foot of spines. Some offsetting to title pages, interior otherwise fine; board edges very lightly rubbed in a few places. Overall, a very good set.
