About this Item: Everts & Peck, Philadelphia, 1883. Leather. Condition: Good. First Edition. Maps, some colored; engraved portraits; 4to 11" - 13" tall; 888 pages; Viii, 888 pp. Stout 4to with original boards and presumably replaced spine. Full leather. Contents complete, including endpapers, colored maps of the two counties and profuse number of engraved portraits, most tissue guarded. Boards detached with several leaves of endmatter remaining attached to the respective boards. Front board is slightly concave. Abrasions and rubbing to the board edges. Spine leather rough at ends with some rot. Given the well preserved quality of the contents, along with the presence of the original boards, this is a good candidate for rebacking and basic restoration. The standard history for these two important New Jersey counties includes a wealth of Revolutionary era information. As is, but with contents in VG condition. .
