About this Item: The Smith - Horizon Press, New York, 1976. Trade Paperbacks, Slipcased. Condition: Near Fine [Overall]. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. First Editions. The Invisibles - A Dialectic (cover by George Mattingly) is a terrifying conspiracy revelation, attributed to Thibaut D'Amiens [?] and F. Borshinski [?], though possibly by Hugh Fox, who only takes credit for the Introduction. The D'Amiens/Borishinski manuscript, "originally sent to Professor Fox at his Ghost Dance Press, is a frightening re-examination of the whole of Western history, leading to the revelation of 'The Invisibles' and their plan for total dominion of this world." // The novella Teak (Reinhold; cover by Cathy Gerlach) "revolves around the dead Rollo Feen, Hollywood immortal. An utter portrait of the star syndrome, Teak is the best Hollywood fiction since Nathaniel West's and no mere update of the same. Stylistically daring, Reinhold attains lyric sensitivity in the midst of rollicking satire." // The Same Thing Happening Over and Over (Chadbrowe; illustrated by Joel Iskowitz) is a surrealistic odyssey. "The narrator, under suspicion of murder for which no body has been found, moves from place to place in the hope of fortifying his position. Yet the further he flees, the less secure he is." CONDITION: the books are bright, solid, square, and unmarked, with negligible shelf-wear. All three show light, straight vertical creasing a quarter-inch from the front spine edge, along the ridge designed by the bindery for this; their lower right corners show a faint, tiny bump. The slipcase is secure and unmarked, with moderate shelf-wear, compromised only by a noticeably bumped back bottom corner. This attractive, collectible set is now in a clear, protective polypropylene bag. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Slipcased Set. Seller Inventory # AL262
