About this Item: The Fairfax Library, NSW Australia, 1986. Hard Cover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. First Edition. 160 pages, b&w photographs, some colour. 'Hurley's major work was the recording of the Third Battle of Ypres (Passchendaele) in 1917. He also photographed the Australian Light Horse in Palestine the following year and more than 20 years later followed the North African campaigns of Sidi Barrani, Bardia, Tobruk and El Alamein with his camera. The photographs in this book cover all these events. As well as black and white, Hurley also used an early colour process. This colour photography, believed to be the only in existence of World War I' is shown here. A very good copy that has some minor shelfwear to the edges, while the jacket has some very faint rubbing. A previous owner's details inked in on the blank fep has been neatly covered. Seller Inventory # 342098
