About this Item: Createspace, United States, 2016. Paperback. Condition: New. Language: English . Brand New Book ***** Print on Demand *****. The Poetry of Flowers anthology is a worldwide appreciation of the beauty and mystique of the humble flower and garden. Poets from America, Canada, England, Holland, India, Malta, Nepal, Norway, Pakistan, the Philippines, Poland, South Africa, Sri Lanka, and Venezuela have all offered their admiration, displaying a wide range of interpretation in their love, affection, and relationships with the world of flora. Flowers are well known to have many different symbolisms, the red rose is often connoted with stories of love, whilst the red of the poppy offers hope and prosperity in light of death. In many cultures, flowers such as the lily are used to symbolise life and resurrection, associating with the sun; in fact, most, if not all flowers will have meaning to someone, somewhere - be it a cultural association, or a personal story. This anthology is a beautiful, sensitive celebration of our relationship with flowers. The following poets are featured in The Poetry of Flowers Sheikha A. About this Item: Gyan Books Pvt. Ltd., 1990. Hardcover. Condition: New. This volume highlights development, Survival and growth of organisation and Society through auditing, monitoring and Forecasting of the impacts of Scientific and technological developments and Managerial assumptions. Social responsibilities of scientists, technologists, and managers has been the foremost concern of great scientists and social thinkers for many years, and this has often been debated through various for a and from different perspectives. This book highlights development and growth of Organization and society through auditing, monitoring and forecasting of the impact of scientific and technological developments and managerial assumptions. In fact Knowledge about technological analysis remains incomplete without understanding its Effects on people. Based on the contributions of scientists, technologists and administrators, this book brings out the socio-technical concerns for development. Like many other Books on the subject, this book does not take a negative and survival perspective. The set of ideas presented are neutral, developmental, Analytical and systems oriented. It presents a deep concern for value system analysis. Social Responsibility is still considered a fringe activity by average scientists and technologists. Perhaps that is the reason for lack of serious and systematic attempts to define the concept of social responsibility. This book mainly concentrates on the concept from the point of view of Science and technology. The ideas of this book are presented under two broad Groups i.e. macro and micro issues. The individual and organization concerns are generally classified as micro perspective and societal concerns in General are included in the macro perspective. The contributors draw the attention of Technical Education planners, Teachers and policy-makers towards a fresh perspective of technical education. About this Item: CreateSpace Independent Publishing Platform. Paperback. Condition: New. This item is printed on demand. 106 pages. Dimensions: 8.0in. x 5.0in. x 0.2in.The Poetry of Flowers anthology is a worldwide appreciation of the beauty and mystique of the humble flower and garden. Poets from America, Canada, England, Holland, India, Malta, Nepal, Norway, Pakistan, the Philippines, Poland, South Africa, Sri Lanka, and Venezuela have all offered their admiration, displaying a wide range of interpretation in their love, affection and relationships with the world of flora. Flowers are well known to have many different symbolisms, the red rose is often connoted with stories of love, whilst the red of the poppy offers hope and prosperity in light of death. In many cultures, flowers such as the lily are used to symbolise life and resurrection, associating with the sun; in fact, most, if not all flowers will have meaning to someone, somewhere be it a cultural association, or a personal story. This anthology is a beautiful, sensitive celebration of our relationship with flowers. The following poets are featured in The Poetry of Flowers Sheikha A. The Fusing Horizons is a collection of critical essays by professors/academicians in Indian Universities on Indian writing in English. Literary concerns of contemporary interest have been refreshingly examined so as to provide a novelty in critiquing spontaneity in response and objectivity in insights. Indian writers from R.K. Narayan to the present are revisited and therefore the book encompasses and deliberates on a wide range of topics. The new perspectives from which writers and their works have been seen enhances a fusion of horizons in this hermeneutical tradition. Dedicated to the memory of Professor Dr. K.S. Ramamurti the essays seek to be insightful jargon free and pluralistic in their approach. Sociological archetypal religious and feminist issues have homogenized here into a refreshing experience. It is hoped that the book would be a rewarding study for students researchers and teachers alike and indeed a valuable possession for all lovers of Indian literature in English. 154 pp. Seller Inventory # 71014

About this Item: D.K. Printworld (P) Ltd, 2013. Hardcover. Condition: New. First edition. This book, a collection of updated articles presented in an international conference on India`s ?Rural Transformation and Development: Issues, Processes and Direction` organized by the Cordia Group of Institutes and Sanghol community on 17-18 November 2011, talks about the criticality of different issues and challenges that the rural India faces and suggests ways and means to bring it into the nation-building exercise. No country steadfastly grows without tapping its rural potential. Over 750 million people live in the Indian villages and there is a desperate need for them to get empowered in education and skills, and with state-of-the-art infrastructure, financial support and guidance, better agricultural methods, energy/gas generation technologies, communication network, and by introducing and training on village and eco tourism. All stake holders ? the Government, NGOs, banks and self help groups ? have to play a pivotal role in ensuring sustainable rural development without losing the charm and the quintessential look of the villages. The visionary Inaugural Lecture by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, former President of India, is igniting and the icing on the cake. The articles are authoritative, and few case studies, add value to the content. Concepts like Community Radio are of great interest.
