About this Item: No Publisher n.d., n.p. 8.5 x 11 inches. 5 pages. Gay erotic fiction. Photocopied typescript, printed on one side of the leaf only; plain paper. Underground gay fiction, of the type passed hand-to-hand or otherwise clandestinely distributed. Tom Norman, in his introduction to American Gay Erotic Paperbacks: A Bibliography, notes that "the earliest erotic literature aimed primarily at the gay male, usually quite amateurish, was mostly in typewritten or mimeographed form, and passed surreptitiously from person to person. Producers of the stories faced imprisonment and harrassment if they were caught. Rarely were the stories more than a few pages long, but even if they were of greater length, they were almost never printed and bound." First line reads : "I was signed for a major league farm club when I was in my last year in high school." Stapled at corner; minor wear. Very good. Seller Inventory # 76620

About this Item: Sur les Presses de l'Imprimerie Particulière du Palais du Tau [William Théry], Reims, 1987. Two parts, 42 pp and 27 pp., plus a set of 25 erotic postcards in a box. I. Poëmes libres. II. Deux contes. Edition originale autographiée. Photographic frontispiece and vignette on front wrapper. Limited to 175 copies on Vélin Ivoire des papeteries Maraud-Hardi. Accompanying this most elegant work, whose execution is a true reflection of the clandestine erotica publishing of the 1920s and 30s, is a black card box containing twenty-five erotic postcards that had originally belonged to Louÿs. The box bears a label reading: Collection secrète d'un auteur célèbre - 1976. A descriptive note with the postcards is signed Robert Parville. Both the texts and the photographs are from the collection of M. Gérard Nordmann, of Geneva. Two volumes in printed wrappers with inset photo, plus set of postcards in black card [leatherette] box with label. Near fine.
