About this Item: Philosophical Library., New York., 1944. Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Fair. 8vo - 21.5 x 13.5 cm.; 106 pp. Red cloth, stamped with a geometric pattern, and with gilt lettering on the spine and gilt lettering on a blue spine panel on the front board. First published in 1939 by Burns & Oates, this is the later American edition. Black and white frontis photogrpah of Pope Pius XII. Preface by Rev. Browne, the then bishop of Galway. Book store bookplate (Stella Maris Book Shop in Valley Falls, Rhode Island) on the back paste down end paper. The gilt lettering on both the spine and the front board are dulled, otherwise the book shows only mild wear to the exteranls while the interior is clean and the binding is tight. The dust jacket is quite worn on all edges and the spine is faded. Seller Inventory # 29548
