Excerpt from Recent Expansion of the Church of England: The Ramsden Sermon for 1864, Preached Before the University of Oxford, on Trinity Sunday But, leaving now this great Asiatic dependency, let us ask what has been the course pursued by the Church towards the various colonies of the British Crown. A short retrospect seems indis pensable.
