Brown junior, Lawrence Wetherby, Isaac Shelby, Robert Letcher, Julian Carroll, James Garrard. John Jordan Crittenden ( 10. Geologische Gutach 44 pp. Deutsch.

Octavo, turquoise boards (hardcover), gilt letters, 144 pp. Near Fine, with slight foxing (age darkened spotting) to endpapers; in a Very Good+, mylar protected dust jacket with lightly rubbed edges. From dust jacket: In 1902, a New York Herald article observed, "Not to go to Palm Beach is a serious thing from a social point of view. If you cannot go there, you should at all events say that you are going, and then retire from Society for a time." The fame of Palm Beach began in 1894 when Henry M. Flagler extended his railroad there and opened the Royal Poinciana Hotel -- the world's largest then, accommodating over 2,000. Soon came the Breakers Hotel, first called the Palm Beach Inn, and Palm Beach emerged in the public's eye as the premier winter resort in America. While some bewail a loss in exclusiveness, its status has remained relatively unchanged. Great fortunes were represented here, and behind the names of the people who came were industries known throughout the land. Palm Beach has attracted presidents, prime ministers, and royalty. From the beginning, the wealthy, the famous, and the accomplished have set its tone. Ostrich plumes were so much in demand in the early 1900s that Palm Beach had its own ostrich farm. One "cottage," El Mirasol, which cost over a million dollars, had thirty-seven rooms, and included an auditorium, a forty-car garage, and a private zoo. From its first days through the late 1940s, scenes of the life and progress of Palm Beach County are placed before you -- its residents, working and playing, and their efforts to create an area they can be proud of today. And along with all this, here are the faces, the homes, the parties, the gowns, the jewels, the yachts, and the resort life of the dazzling personalities who created such a fascinating aura around Palm Beach that interest in it never ceases. Taschenbuch. Condition: Neu. Neuware - When a war ends provisionally, the agreement is called a ceasefire. But when peace ends, there is only war. War and peace are co-dependent. Perhaps it is now time for a â Peacefire.â  In Maintenant 17: A Journal of Contemporary Dada Writing and Art, nearly 250 artists from more than 40 countries explore the concept of the end of both war and peace, exploring provocative outsider ideas as dada has done since its inception. With searing cover art by Uta Kaxniashvili, this issue of the renowned journal elaborates on dadaâ ¿s original premise as an antiwar movement. The Maintenant series, established in 2008, explores themes of politics, humanity, philosophy, and current concerns from an antiwar, anarchic (and often eye-opening) perspective. Past issues include work by artists Mark Kostabi, Raymond Pettibon, Joel Hubaut, Heide Hatry, Avelino de Araujo, Pawel Kuczynski, Inas Al-Soqi, Giovanni Fontana, Nicole Eisenmann, Syporca Whandal, and Kazunori Murakami; past writers have included Gerard Malanga, Charles Plymell, Andrei Codrescu, Harry E. Northup, Malik Crumpler, Maw Shein Win, and more, with a strong contingent of artist-writers from the world of punk rock, including Thurston Moore, Mike Watt, Bibbe Hanson and more. Critics have praised the series since its inception. Seattle Book Review calls Maintenant, â A smorgasbord for those who are sick and tired of it.â Tribe LA dubs the journal, 'A compilation of leading Dada-influenced artists from around the world that is timely and relevant.â Serbia's Madjan Magazine proclaims that the Maintenant series proves 'Dada is not dead.' The Maintenant series is archived in leading institutions worldwide, including Museum of Modern Art New York. Taschenbuch. Condition: Neu. This item is printed on demand - it takes 3-4 days longer - Neuware -Tomato is one of the most commonly grown fresh market vegetables. Yet, since tomato are high yielding and labour intensive, acre, acre and one acre production units are common with market gardeners. In Massachusetts, for example, there are approximately 500 acres of tomatoes and approximately 500 vegetable farms. Since some of the larger farms produce 10-15 acres of tomatoes, quite a few farms grow less than one acre (McCraw et al, 1987). USDA (1992) reported that tomato yields of 650 to 850 boxes (30 pounds each) are common in the South Central U. S (e.g. Oklahoma). This is equivalent to 19,000 - 25,000 pounds or about 10 - 13 pounds per acre. Comparably fresh market yields of 23 - 27,000 pounds per acre are listed in Knott's Handbook for vegetable growers in 1990, the average fresh market tomato yields nationwide was 25,000,000 pounds per acre. Helen (1996), stated that production and marketing cost of intensively cultured tomatoes can be over $ 4,000 per acre with an expected gross return of $ 4,000 to $ 8,000 per acre. Gross returns of $ 18,000 are not uncommon. One organic farmer in New Jersey netted $10,000 an acre with 10 acres in production. 60 pp. Englisch.

Taschenbuch. Condition: Neu. This item is printed on demand - it takes 3-4 days longer - Neuware -O tomate é um dos legumes frescos mais cultivados no mercado. 64 pp. Portugiesisch.
