Very Good. Philip and Anna Morrison printed their first miniature book, Mother Goose Nursery Rhymes, in 1998. This Prospectus gives the dimensions, a few illustrations, a sample page, and full details on the production and pricing of the book. Very Good. The text contains an appeal for peace by the President of the Swiss Gutenberg Museum on the eve of World War II. Apparently the first miniature book issued by Norman Forgue. See Bradbury, p. 19 for an account of Norman Forgue's bad memory when it came to dating his miniature books. The first part is a folding diamond-shaped envelope, 3 1/2 inches high by 4 inches wide, printed with "MBS 8" on one side, and "Glasgow 1990, Cultural Capital of Europe." This envelope is toned. Inside the envelope are two pieces. The first is a cone shaped Keepsake of Eloise and Robert Massmann that unfolds into 3 clover shaped openings, each illustrated (some illustrations hand-colored), illustrated by C. Ernest Massmann, hand colored by Eloise C. Massmann, assembled by Robert Massman, and designed by all three. The third part is a Diamond-shaped keepsake, 2 3/8 x 2 7/16 inches. [15] pp. Lists 8 ephemera items printed by REM Miniatures, with illustrations of 1 through 7, some of the illustrations are hand-colored; text clean, un-marked.
