This was from the uniform dark blue binding set which preceded the Rainbow binding set with varying hues of green and blue which came years later. Small triangular cut out of the top right corner of the first blank white page in after the illustrated front free endpaper. Otherwise book is a Tight sound unmarked copy in Very Good condition. This book is Volume one only of the 1940s uniform dark blue set. This book is In the Nursery (My Book House, Vol. 1). No Signature.

Hardback. No Dustjacket as issued. This is in the light green rainbow format of binding, and is from the 1963 edition of the set. This is Volume #1 in the set as numbered on the spine. Very minor scuffing and soiling on the outer boards and books edges, but the interiors are bright and free of markings and tape repairs that you usually see on the first two volumes in this set. Tight unmarked copy.

This less common binding variant is usually referred to as the "Rainbow edition" to distinguish it from the standard uniform dark blue binding variant. Mild rubbing to corners and spine extremities, some surface rubbing as well, with pastedowns generally showing light scratching, several more advanced, but overall still a presentable set. Some covers tanning toward edges, typical of issue. Firm bindings. Text block edges somewhat dulled and with mild foxing, interiors generally clean with scattered light soiling here and there.
