About this Item: Helsinki: Schildts, 1984. Hardcover. Condition: Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. First Printing. An extraordinary copy of the first Swedish-language edition of the author's critical analysis of the Moomins series and Tove Jansson's other literary works. In itself a difficult title to find in either English or Swedish this copy has been SIGNED by Tove Jansson herself. Wholly remarkable given the rarity of signed copies of her own works and the only such example I have come across in 30 years. White coloured boards, pp. 185. The book is in excellent clean condition, tight, square, sharp corners - Fine condition, appears unread. The dustjacket is shelf-worn at the edges and corners with some minor marks and label residue but VG. With provenance, a fantastically scarce item and quite possibly one-of-a-kind. Signed by Author(s). Seller Inventory # 24012004

About this Item: Ernest Benn Limited, 1952. Hardcover. Condition: Fine. No Jacket. 1st Edition. First Printing. A remarkable copy of the UK first edition. Red cloth with gilt decoration to the upper cover and gilt titles at the spine. 7.5" x 5". pp 156 with Moomins Gallery at the rear. In fabulous clean condition, covers immaculate and free from owner names etc. The book is tight and square with a bump to the front cover at the lower corner (remaining corners sharp) and very minor push at the foot of the spine which is just very slightly colour-faded. Nevertheless the best-condition copy of this title I have seen in many years. Sadly lacking the dustjacket but to compensate, at the half-title Tove Jansson's autograph signature has been pasted in - provenance for the signature is established. A rare opportunity to acquire a Signed Ernest Benn Moomins first edition. Signed by Author(s). Seller Inventory # 23012004
