About this Item: Independently Published, United States, 2020. Paperback. Condition: New. Language: English. Brand new Book. The Tunguska Event is the largest cosmic calamity caused by collision of an interplanetary object with the Earth that happened in the XX century and it has been extensively studied over fifty years. It began when at 07h 14m 28s local time on the 30 th June 1908 an enormous fireball appeared above Central Siberia (60o 55' 04".6 N, 101o 56' 55".6 E) moving from south-east to north-west. This bolide was accompanied by intensive sonic and optical phenomena culminating in a huge explosion. A huge flash set fire to the forest, and a ballistic wave of this giant explosion devastated the Siberian taiga over an area of about 2150 square km. Eyewitness reports quoted here describe this phenomenon as it looked to the local people over a vast area of the Earth, starting from near the epicentre in Central Siberia across Western Europe. There is also an extended resume of the scientific achievements that many expeditions contributed to the modern understanding how the interplanetary environment interacts with our Earth. Significant effort of Russian scientist Leonid A. Kulik (1883-1942) was in focus in this booklet. This scientist and adventurer devoted to the Tunguska event his entire enthusiasm and many years of hard work in organising and attending numerous expeditions. Events which happened in the Siberian taiga in 1908 have been covered up so as to present a mythical mystery, over-grown by a number of exotic and fantastic hypotheses. For this reason this book will pay attention to original documents and direct witness reports which were necessary to make present publication credible and consistent. These expeditions and their findings are summarised in this booklet. Seller Inventory # APC9798670982474

About this Item: Audible Studios on Brilliance, United States, 2016. CD-Audio. Condition: New. Unabridged. Language: English. Brand new. Two ships launch, but only one can come home with the prize--and no one suspects what they'll find when they get out there. On June 30, 1908, an object fell from the sky, releasing more energy than a thousand Hiroshima bombs. A Siberian forest was flattened, but the strike left no significant crater. The anomaly came to be known as the Tunguska Event, and scientists have never agreed whether it was the largest meteor strike in recorded history--or something else. Alien artifacts have been uncovered since the 1908 event, and a new star drive is discovered. When another larger artifact is detected orbiting Jupiter, both NASA and the Russian Federal Space Agency are determined to beat all rivals to the next treasure trove of alien tech. About this Item: Createspace Independent Publishing Platform, United States, 2014. Paperback. Condition: New. Language: English. Brand new Book. *Includes pictures *Includes accounts of the event by eyewitnesses and scientists studying it *Includes a bibliography for further reading "On 30 June 1908, a powerful blast ripped open the sky near the Podkamennaya Tunguska River in Russia and flattened more than 2,000 square kilometers of forest. Eyewitnesses described a large object tearing through the atmosphere and exploding before reaching the ground, sending a wave of intense heat racing across the countryside. At an estimated 3 to 5 megatons of TNT equivalent, it was the biggest impact event in recorded history." - Mark Pelow, author of "Rock samples suggest meteor caused Tunguska blast" When the atomic bombs were used against Hiroshima and Nagasaki in August 1945, they ushered in a new era of power so destructive that nuclear weapons have not been used in any combat since then. The pictures of the devastated cities demonstrated the sheer strength of such weapons, and the impact was alarming enough to lead to efforts not only to control the proliferation of such weapons but to denuclearize altogether. It was hard for people to comprehend the power behind nuclear weapons in 1945, but that was due in great measure to the fact that most people were unfamiliar with the Tunguska event, which took place over 35 years earlier in a sparsely populated region of Siberia. On June 30, 1908, an explosion with an epicenter near the Tunguska River flattened an area of about 2,000 square miles, destroying tens of millions of trees and killing countless numbers of wildlife. Miraculously, there were no recorded human casualties as a result of the since named Tunguska event, which generated the energy equivalent of 1,000 of the atomic bombs dropped on Hiroshima. The shockwave alone would have measured 5.0 on the Richter scale. It goes without saying that had the Tunguska event happened in a major metropolitan area, it would've been one of the biggest catastrophes in history, but due to the isolated area and the turbulent affairs in Russia during the World Wars and the Bolshevik Revolution, the event was mostly ignored during the early 20th century, and it is still often overlooked today, even as scientists continue to study it in an attempt to explain what happened. Although conspiracy theories have been proffered (as with other mysterious events), it is widely believed today that the explosion was caused by an asteroid or a comet, but people still continue to debate certain aspects of the blast, and Tunguska is constantly cited as a reason it is necessary to identify and monitor objects in space near Earth. The Tunguska Event chronicles the history and mystery behind the massive explosion, including eyewitness accounts and theories over what caused it. Along with pictures and a bibliography, you will learn about the Tunguska event like never before, in no time at all. Seller Inventory # APC9781503099609

Read the fascinating coincidences involving the lives of identical twins separated at birth, and discover the human faculty of psychometry, or "reading" the history of objects by touching them. Hear the arguments of those who believe William Shakespeare did not write his plays, and wonder at the claims that Patience Worth was a Quaker ghost who wrote novels. Is there a "curse of the Pharoahs," as the inscription in King Tutankhamon's tomb warned? Has the Loch Ness monster been photographed and proved to exist? Just what are circumstances that have caused planes to be lost in the Bermuda triangle? Did Joan of Arc return from the dead, and could Andrew Crosse have been the real Frankenstein? Might there be such a thing as synchronicity, meaning that the unconscious mind can in some unknown way engineer coincidences? And you decide if the Yeti, or Bigfoot, is a Neanderthal man, perhaps there are even colonies of them living in certain parts of the world! Time slips, buried treasure, UFO's, poltergeists~here are forty~two amazing true cases of psychic powers, historical enigmas, haunted locations and visitors from other worlds that have no rational explanation~yet cannot be denied. Colin Wilson's most challenging book yet, Unsolved Mysteries is a comprehensive examination of the most baffling mysteries of our time. Seller Inventory # 8231802

Unfortunately, none of the theories is unanimously accepted. In the city of Bern, a scientist begins investigating the glowing mystery. He begins inquiring about the strange light in the skies over Europe and western Russia, but finds himself left with more questions than answers. About this Item: Inner Light Global Communications, United States, 2013. Paperback. Condition: New. Language: English. Brand new Book. ARE A GROUP OF EXTRATERRESTRIALS KNOWN AS "THE GUARDIANS" HERE TO SAVE HUMANKIND IN THE EVENT OF A GLOBAL DISASTER? THERE IS NO DOUBT THAT "THEY" HAVE INFLUENCED THE HUMAN RACE SINCE THE EARLIEST BEGINNINGS OF HUMANKIND ON EARTH. SOME SAY THEY HAVE MANIPULATED OUR BODIES, MINDS AND SOULS TO THEIR ADVANTAGE. THERE IS A WIDESPREAD BELIEF THAT THEY ARE OUR MORTAL ENEMIES, WHILE OTHERS CONTEND THEY ARE HERE TO ASSIST IN OUR SALVATION. THE BIG QUESTION REMAINS. . . ARE THEY FRIEND OR FOE? We often hear about animal mutilations, horrifying alien abductions and even sadistic experiments being conducted in vast underground tunnels and chambers. But are we dismissing evidence that at least some of The Visitors are our Space-Guarding Big Brothers who could be operating in our atmosphere as a UFO Rescue Squad to save the multitudes in the case of extreme danger? Recently, the Russian news media ran a story about a large meteorite that hurtled its way over that nation, but before it could do severe damage - and cause possible loss of life - it was hit by a UFO, causing it to explode and shatter over the Urals. The Siberian Times headline shouted: "WE WERE SAVED BY A UFO!" and video clips posted on You Tube seem to verify the fact that this giant space rock was literally blasted into oblivion by unknown forces from the cosmos. Similarly, in the skies over Turkey, an incident was witnessed by six Turkish airline crews who swear they saw a UFO fleet made up of 10 to 15 craft level a massive meteorite that could have created havoc if it had reached a populated area. Remember the object that exploded over Tunguska, Siberia, in 1918, eradicating over 50 square miles of forest and settlements like a nuclear bomb had exploded? Are The Guardians subtly warning us that Earth is possibly on a collision course with the mysterious sphere known as Planet X? Or perhaps a massive meteor bombardment? An asteroid strike? Or even a nuclear attack? Scholar Immanuel Velikovsky stated that the Earth had been severely damaged several times throughout history when huge objects propelled through space collided with or came in close proximity to the planet. He was ostracized by scientists who suppressed his findings. There is evidence that some researchers today have been murdered because they wanted to tell the world about the approach of Planet X and how it could conceivably wipe out all life on the Earth should it be sucked into our atmosphere by the Earth's gravitational pull. This book gives you all the FACTS and tells the reader how to survive these dramatically CHANGING TIMES!. Seller Inventory # NLF9781606111529
