Soft cover. Condition: As New. Williams, Jonathan (illustrator). 1st Edition. Square octavo format. As new on white card cover, protected by slightly discoloured clear plastic sleeve. Green card box covering all of the above is largely faded to grey, with tear up half of one side. No. 188 of 1800 copies, full-colour photographic portraits mounted on each RH page, text on left hand side. Portraits of 30 literary and artistic figures, including William Carlos Williams, Thomas Merton, Denise Levertov, Kenneth Rexroth, Ezra Pound, Mina Loy, Ian Hamilton Finlay, Allen Ginsberg, Alvin Langdon Coburn and David Hockney. Preface by Hugh Kenner.
