Leaves of thick heavy paper printed on rectos only; comprising title-page, and 16 full-side colour plates of animated scenes at old coaching inns in Greater London (14), Brighton, and York. Original maroon-coated cloth, covers with bevelled edges, front cover titled in gilt; marbled endpapers. Binding moderately rubbed at head and foot of backstrip, along hinges, at outer corners of covers, and at a few positions elsewheres; a number of shallow little bumps of minimal effect along edges. White pigment spot of diameter up to 0.6cm and two specks on front cover; rear lightly marked and with minor short & narrow graze. No dust jacket. Binding holding firmly and of good appearance, contents near fine. VERY GOOD copy. (Heavy item, overseas shipping at cost.).
