First Edition. ----------( 1st Printing of the First Edition ) ---hardcover, a nice looking copy of a scarce book, visually a Very Good example but this has been de-accessioned from Victoria University Library (some stamps and library marks, as well this copy no longer has the frontispiece, as well pages 27-30 are loose from the binding, some age toning/darkening to the upper edge of the text block, rear hinge is cracked but still attached very well ---however this was the author's own personal copy, Maclean has written on the front blank endpaper "Author's Copy - John Maclean August 5. 1927", 282 pages, all other illustrations are intact, a scarce book about the prairies in the last half of the 19th century, ,any image directly beside this listing is the actual book and not a generic photo /// SIGNED ---GUARANTEED to be AVAILABLE/// ---sizes are approximate (generally within 1/8 inch)--- Size: 5w x 7.5h Inches.
