Grieb was a Christian Socialist who inspired the utopian thinker Charles Fourier. In Paris of the '30s - in the crucible of new, even utopian ideas; between thousands of political refugees - was enthusiastic about the ideas of early Grieb socialist Charles Fourier. While in London, Grieb developed a new German-English dictionary, because he knew that English would be the language of the future.
