Item Description: Harper Collins, London, 2013. Hardcover. Book Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Fine. 1st Edition. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. Harper Collins. London. 2013. 252 pages. DJ price intact on flap. 1st printing of the 75th anniversary edition. This edition has the uncommon wraparound band that slides over the DJ. The DJ protector covers both the wrap around band as well as the DJ, but keep in mind, the band is present under the DJ protector. The book is near fine and unread as is the DJ. The wrap around band shows some shelfwear at bottom edge. this looks like wear on the DJ but it is not, it is just hard to differentiate the band from DJ in picture because it is under a mylar protector. Book would grade fine if not for 2 gently bumped corners. A crisp, unread copy. Bookseller Inventory # 001206

Item Description: Pocket Books, New York, 1973. Soft cover. Book Condition: Near Fine. No Jacket. 16mo - over 5¾ - 6¾" tall. Unread 16mo mass-market paperback with small fold to bottom corner of rear wrap but no reading creases. This 1973 printing is the 33rd printing of a Pocket Book edition first published June, 1944. The 10 house guests are trapped on the island with a diabolical killer (as so frequently happens.) They're being killed off, one by one. But who's doing it? This book -- which some consider Christie's masterpiece -- was initially published in Great Britain by the Collins Crime Club in 1939 as "Ten Little Niggers," but that title was already considered too Politically Incorrect when the work was serialized in the Saturday Evening Post in 1939 and then first published in book form in the U.S. in January 1940 by Dodd, Mead and Company. So the nursery rhyme was altered in the text to either "Ten Little Indians" or "Ten Little Soldiers," with the result that it's unclear why, in Chapter 7, Vera Claythorne becomes semi-hysterical at the mention by Miss Brent of "our black brothers." Filmed by Rene Clair as "And Then There Were None" in 1945, as "Ten Little Indians" by George Pollock in 1965, and several times thereafter, under variants of those later, more innocuous titles. Pages moderately age-toned. 173 pp. Bookseller Inventory # 004927
