Trou is an art magazine published in Moutier , in the French-speaking part of the canton of Bern , Switzerland , from 1979 to 2012. History The journal was founded in 1979 . Until 2000, 11 issues were published. From 2002 onwards, it was published once a year. Originally, the journal was published by Éditions de la Prévôté, in Moutier. Following the disappearance of this publishing house, the association "Trou revue d'art" was created in Moutier, to ensure the sustainability of the journal. The editorial board is made up of seven members, including four founding members. The journal is multidisciplinary, it provides artists with a certain number of pages, without any commentary or criticism on their work. For each issue, the editorial team offers creators from all artistic disciplines pages they can freely use. Thus, painters and sculptors can sometimes indulge in the game of writing, and writers in that of drawing. Architects, composers, photographers, and filmmakers have also collaborated with the magazine. The collection contains twenty issues; the limited edition, limited to one hundred copies, contains three or four numbered and signed prints. 101 artists collaborated with work specially created for the magazine, if not previously unpublished. Apart from private collectors, many libraries in Switzerland, France and Belgium own the entire collection, some of which have the complete collection in a limited edition . The collection forms a mirror of contemporary creation.
