The premise for this artistic mash-up is that Kline, the expressionist painter, and Irving and Paula Klaw, the pin-up photographers, both had studios in the same building in 1950s New York and that Kline, smitten with the Klaw's most famous subject, used Page as a model for his pen and ink studies.
