Contemporary full calf with raised spine bands and gilt spine decorations, red text edges and marbled endpapers. Condition is GOOD ; front joint is tender but holding very well, both joints show some cracking but mosly at ends. Spine leather gone at both spine ends, about 1 1/2 inch at spine head, half that at tail. Spine title label has central portion lacking. Corners bumped and worn. Text is bright and clean but there are some wormholes - to about 20 early pgs and last 20 including the rear blanks. About 4 pgs have minor pencil margin markings. Rel. RGR.

Contemporary binding of full brown calf with double gilt border to the front and back covers and spine, page edges speckled red, original endpapers. Printed in Latin in Roman type, 2 columns to the page, with separating line. Very attractive engraved title page by Jaspar Isac, depicting the Creation, Moses, David. Bound after the Revelation of St John the Divine can be found, with separate pagination, "Oratio Manassae Regis Iuda, Cum Captus Teneretur in Babylone" Size 6.5" x 4", Holy Bible - Complete with Old and New Testament 808 pages, then Oratio Manassae Regis Iuda - 44 pages - followed by unpaginated index. Oratio Manassae Regis Iuda includes - Liber Esdrae, Hieronymi Prologus Galeatus. Condition very good, contemporary binding is a little rubbed, with the leather worn through at front lower corner, rear upper corner and 1 inch at front upper hinge. Pages very clean throughout ith no toning or foxing, texts still crisp and sharp. Collation A-Lll8 in eights including "Series Chartarum" leaf at the end. A very well preserved example. Not in Darlow & Moule Size: 16mo - over 5¾" - 6¾" tall. Book.
