Hardcover. Condition: Good. Hardcover. Brown leather over boards with gold lettering on red title plate on spine. Title page and copyright page dated 1834. 383 pages. Book is in good condition. Leather is worn a fair amount, with a bit of spotting, but remains intact. Binding is strong and square. Heavy foxing to pages. Some scribbles in pencil on front endpaper. Pages are slightly warped, but otherwise undamaged and perfectly readable. Book is overall sturdy and and in good reading condition.

Full Leather. Condition: Fair. Second edition, improved. Lightly worn and soiled leather covers, corner bumped, hole on front cover, front hinge broken, still strongly attached by several strings. First 15 pages or so dampstained along edge - does not affect text - last five pages have large damp stain. Owner name, some soiling on page edges. Most pages yellowing, foxing on a number of pages, some pages bright - all very legible.

Original dark brown leather boards, front board lacking, end papers lacking (starts at title page), rear board present, almost detached; some fox spotting throughout.
