Hardcover. Condition: Very Good+. Frontispiece; spot illustrations throughout (illustrator). First Edition. Pp. 95. Frontis. illustration of the Walla Walla prison; spot illustrations throughout, including ball-and-chain at each page number. Full cloth binding -- using denim from prison-issued clothing., with a printed paper title label affixed to front board. Former owner name on front free endpaper. The "Big House" at Walla Ditto. Broderick, the Seattle real-estate magnate, served on the State Parole Board. Herein he dispenses with his experiences and suggestions for penal reform. Printer Frank McCaffrey provides clever design; the binding -- in the "prison blues" -- is a masterstroke.
