Condition: Very Good Minus. 1st Edition. Contemporary full sheep leather binding. Wear to head of spine, bump and short split to lower corner of front board. Rubbing to spine and edges of boards. Binding strained after the front free endpaper but solidly bound. A few occasional marks to text but otherwise a nice clean example. Lacking the frontispiece and plates 6 and 7, although these appear to have never been bound in. Plates 1-4 are on two fold-outs, plate 5 is a separate fold-out. Several woodcuts within the text.
