For over 15 years Weston kept a daily journal which captured his thoughts about life, criticized his photos, and recorded the experiences that moved him. This second edition combines the two volumes and adds a new foreward by Beaumont Newhall. 512 pages, with volumes paginated and indexed separately. Includes B&W plates. Unclipped jacket in new mylar cover has small chips to bottom front edge, one inch chip to bottom of back cover, light rubbing and a few light stains. Volume 2 (1966) in similar brown boards has very minor wear, faint foxing to top edge. Unclipped jacket in new mylar cover has chipping to top and bottom edges, light rubbing and staining similar to volume one. A solid set.

Volume I is a clean near fine copy in cloth boards with a former owner signature to the front free endpaper and half title page and in a very good dust jacket that has some small chips and some edge tears. Volume II is a near fine copy in cloth boards and in a near fine dust jacket with some minor wear. Despite the flaws a nicer than usual set.
