The text of this edition follows that of the first edition, with minor emendations. Typeset at The Folio Society in Clifford, with Bernard MT Condensed as display. The text has been printed on Abbey pure rough paper, and the illustrations on natural evolution ivory at Kosel, Krugzell, Germany. It has been bound in blocked dark red leather by Richard Mayer Buchbinderei GMBH, Esslingen / Zell, Germany, with a black and gilt debossed design by Angela Barrett. All edges gilt. Black silk ribbon bookmark. Deep, blood red endpapers. Colour plates are each bordered by an ominous black frame, befitting the scene. Also contains an introduction written by John Banville and a list of the colour plates, along with a note by Jonathan Harker on the last page. xvii, 377 pp. Slipcase is an inky dark black in silk with gilt lettering and off-white decoration of a flying bat against a dark night sky.
